The Annual Derby sponsored by Belhaven Breweries was this year won by GUFF owned by a syndicate which includes Tom Watson of Gretna.
The Black dog ran an impressive race winning easily by 7 3/4lengths to break the track record which has stood for the past 6 years by 7 spots in a superb time of 28.52.
The Latest Handicap Winner
The 2009 Powley Challenge Cup was this year won by Bo Jangles from the Hucknall kennels of Workington.
The black bitch won its heat draw with ease. In the final it led from the 1st to cross the line 21/2 lengths ahead of Workington based Talk Talk.
